COVID UPDATE: Outdoor Massage only as of 7/15/2020
I hope this message finds you all well. You are probably aware that many California businesses were required to close indoor operations again because of the Covid-19 crisis effective 7/15/2020. Massage was included in those businesses so I have had to close my office space for now. There is good news, though. We are permitted to provide massage in an outdoor setting this time, so I am pivoting my services to outdoor only for now.

I have built a privacy canopy in my backyard in the SDSU area and set it up as the temporary location of my business. I have included a couple of pictures on this site so that you can see what it looks like. I will be able to offer all of my services here in my shady Shangri-La except for full body hot stone massage. I do have fans set up in there in addition to the natural breeze that we get most of the time. If the temperature is above 95 or whatever your comfort zone is we will definitely need to reschedule. I will be extending my morning availability to 10am to take advantage of the cooler part of the day as well. You may continue to book online as usual and I will send you my home address when you do. There is ample parking in front of my house. I will also continue to offer housecall services if you have a shaded outdoor spot on your property. Housecalls are generally double the rate that I charge when you come to me, though.
I am still following all of the state and local guidelines for massage during this time. In between each client every surface/massage tool is disinfected and I change clothes. Masks are required for me and the client at all times, and both of our temperatures are checked. There will be a Covid-19 questionnaire to fill out each time you visit. And as always, linens are changed for every person and my hands are always scrubbed up past my elbow before and after each service (and all day really!).
I look forward to seeing you soon at my place or yours. For those of you who are not able to receive massage during this time because of health concerns, I totally understand and will be here for you when you are ready to come back. A vaccine looks like it is on the not-too-distant horizon and with any luck it will be what we need to get back to normal!
Stay safe and thanks again,

You may already know a lot about massage but if you don't here's a brief explanation:
Massage is the manipulation of the muscles and fascia (connective tissue) using the hands and other tools to release tension and correct improper muscle firing to alleviate pain and correct imbalances in the body. Massage therapy is a fantastic tool in loosening tense muscles and restoring balance to the body to relieve pain. It can help people of all ages and with many different health care considerations find a way alleviate or at least manage painful conditions.
In addition, massage is a great way to relax and relieve stress and anxiety in both adults and children. In today's techno gadget go go world, we can all benefit by reconnecting with our bodies through a nice relaxing and restorative massage.
